Hope you all are doing great! Let's start today's topic with a video and get an idea of how people live in the desert






Let's know about banjaras (the people of desert area)









Men in Thar wear dhoti, kurta and turban and women wear ghagra, choli and odhni. 


Dussehra, Diwali, Teej and Gangaur are the festivals celebrated here.

Houses in cities of desert region have flat roofs, small windows and thick walls to keep the houses cool during the day and warm at night. Water in theses houses is generally stored in an underground tank.

      Task-1

  • write the date on the top left side of the margin.
  • write the name of the chapter on the first line.
  • copy the work in neat cursive handwriting.

1. Sand dunes- sand hills

2. Arid- very dry

3. Irrigation- to supply land with water

4. Nomads- people who regularly migrate from                          one place to another

5. Mineral- a valuable or useful chemical                                   substance that is formed naturally in 
                   the ground.

6. Subcontinent- an area of land that is part of a                                 continent
