Q4: Find the difference between the greatest 5-digit number and the smallest 6-digit number.
Solution: (Difference between means to subtract)
Greatest 5-digit number = 99,999
Smallest 6-digit number = 1,00,000
Difference = 1,00,000 - 99,999 = 1

Q5: What should we add to 61859 to get 432162?
Solution: Here, though the word add is used but we are subtracting because if the question asks about- What should we add to or What should we subtract from....then we always SUBTRACT.

Q6: Subtract: Seven lakh eighty five thousand nine hundred sixty seven from nine lakh seventy six thousand nine hundred eighty six.
Solution: Let's write the numerals for the number names first.
Subtract 7,85,967 from 9,76,986.
[Hint: If there is a word 'from' in subtraction, then the bigger number is after from and smaller number is before.]

Q9: If the difference is 72946 and the subtrahend is 28476, Find the minuend.
Solution: As, we know that
DIFFERENCE + SUBTRAHEND = MINUEND.
DIFFERENCE = 72946
SUBTRAHEND = + 28476
