GOOD MORNING BOYS:

Hope you have done the questions 6, 9 and 10 including the Homework in your copy.  Today, let us continue the exercise doing the questions 7 & 8.

CONCEPT:
To find the value of "one", we need to divide the value of "many" by the given number.

This means,"Many to One"... Divide".  Got it!!!
Now let us do the word problems:

7. A stadium has the capacity of 40110 people.  How many people should be seated in 1 row if there are 42 rows?
No. of people seated in 42 rows    =  40110
No. of people seated in 1 row       =   40110 ÷ 42

                                                                               __9 5 5______
                                                                         42 )  40110
                                                                                 378
                                                                                ------------
                                                                                    231
                                                                                    210
                                                                                   --------
                                                                                       210
                                                                                       210
                                                                                     --------
                                                                                         0
                                                                                     --------
Therefore, No. of people seated in one row = 955 people

No. of cardboard box required to pack 324 chocolates = 1
No. of card board boxes required to pack 53700 chocolate slabs = ?

                                                                                                _1 6 5______
                                                                                        324) 53700
                                                                                                 324
                                                                                                 ---------
                                                                                                 2130
                                                                                                 1944
                                                                                                 ----------
                                                                                                   1860
                                                                                                   1620
                                                                                                   ----------
                                                                                                     240
                                                                                                    ---------
